On the meanings of words with the component -braní

The paper deals with the meanings of compounds with the component -braní. This component has not been lexicographically treated yet despite its productivity in contemporary Czech. We describe the word-formation bases which are combined with the component -braní and define the prototypical meaning of these compounds – ‚a public (gastronomic, cultural, etc.) event‘.
